Rainbow Project

I mentioned Rainbow Project previously. Now the cards (ECS+) time line was over. Luckily not much issue arise during cut-over. It's a good achievement for BCOPS Project Unit to achieve such a thing. No matter what we would like to thank to our dept boss for the support. :)

After this, we will be back to Pre-UAT stage for EBS. That means we are going to start to prepare EBS test scripts. This few weeks gonna be busy cause I am the only one whole gonna prepare all the test script for whole dept.

So the project gonna start again from Pre-UAT, UAT, PAT, DR and cutover. All the things will start all over again. Anyhow, this time it is not going to be extensive as what we do during ECS+ time line.

I am still stick with my commitment to finish of Rainbow. Don't forget I am one of the pioneer batch for Rainbow. But unluckily we lost few of our good colleague that left for better offer/atmosphere. Good luck to them.

So my focus nowadays are preparing the complete set of test script so that I can use for future. Good luck to myself.

Finally I am down after 8 months of contributing in Rainbow. Got this headache ever since I worked in Project. Tough time tough time. Involve in project is definitely a good choice for me. Especially doing a project in an Operation Department. Someone quoted to me saying that "You know one of our CEO was from Operations?". I am persuaded to continue with my job. Yes, I admit that I am so easy to get "conned" in this Project. Haha. Actually it is not cheated or conned or whatever, just that it is worth to involve in a rare project. It will enhance my CV and also myself.

Just recently I had found out that working in Project is fun (the condition is with good people) I had learn quite few thingy. Need me to explain? Meet me.

Also in my mind, i am choosing between Project and Finance. Looking at the current economic situation. I prefer staying in Project for 2 years and after that I am going to leave for finance related jobs. Is it a good choice for me? or not? Or staying in Citi for the rest of my life? I dont know. Lets see how it goes.

I believe that I am not stopping from achieve my goals. Just the direction is different already. OK? Add oil add oil!

How are you all lately? Doing good? Busy with work?
Same goes to me. A lot of things to do in Project. After the 3 weeks of training, we will start to test all systems in my dept. So bad that I couldnt understand all the process n the system at once. Need more time la..

Then lately, I had a lot of pressure from seniors (pangkat tinggi tinggi one). Keep on pointing to you and say "YOU DO LAHH". Wtf, hear that phrase also naik geram already. One Dominique, 4 task to do. Every task oso said "You do lahh". I was thinking that, I do all..Ok lo. Then what the heck you do? Sticking at your desk and browsing? Replying few simple mails and took 8 hours of ur day? Or pretend busy and say not free to go? Darn..

Sometimes, really thinking of giving up. But no matter what. Still I gave myself 2 years in Project :) I dont blame they all, maybe they have more things to do. Their net surfing are such much IMPORTANT. OK lo.. Potato like me always kena step "cow cow". This year is COW's year ma.. All cow kena "cow cow (kao kao)".

Guyz, it's been a while again.
How are you all? Good?

A lot of things happened and I dont really have the time to sit down properly. haha. Last Wed, the ex-PMO for Rainbow gathered in KLCC. LOL. Luckily the main target was not me. Its Pink. Kat keep on asking her this and that. Testing her that she knows about the fundamental "6" theories that I dont know heck about. Also, its funny to know the stories that they told me. I enjoyed the lunch that I really can sit down talking with Kat and Pink.

Today, WaiKit, Pink, Daryl, Yang and me will have gathering in Pavillion. We love to gather around and talk bout the shit in our job. And its good for newbies like us to handle our pressure. Wakaka!

I cant wait for tomorrow's holiday. I took 3 days annual off and I will have my first "mandate" leave since i worked. (till Feb 2nd). Oh yeah, cant wait to sleep at home and feeling like a student. So guys, if you are darn free please call me to yumcha ok?

Wow, it's December already!
It's my 2nd month in Citi and I don't realized that I had worked for that long.
Most of the days were like in wars.
A lot of hectic meetings and trainings.

Never the less, it's also the time for me to clear my leave!

Project and System Support

It's nearly 2 weeks to my first job. After my internship, I changed my dept to BCOPS but yet I am still in Project Rainbow. I am so lucky to be in PMO. I am able to learn a lot of operational and system things. Other than that, I am able to meet a lot of people. From there, I was given an opportunity to join BCOPS. Bigger salary (not that big although), still satisfying.

My functional title is Project and System Support in BCOPS and I am assisting Business Project Manager to handle Project Rainbow and to represent BCOPS for the Project. Meaning that, is to coordinate communications between Regional and PMO to my department. I will need to attend meetings and deliver the messages to BCOPS, will also helping in doing their processes and documentums.Currently I am still patching up with all the on going systems, and I hope I will able to be really good in the systems.

Although this is not the line that I wanted to join, but yet I am contributing 100% into it. I want to learn as much as possible. I want to gain experience. From this project, it really benefits me. For my CV, for my network and for my future of course. Seniors adviced me to stay until the project ends because it is not easy to get involve in this type of project. Previously, this kindda scale of project was at 1996 and it comes again on 2008 which is the one I am involving in it.

This project will bring major changes to the old systems, to the process and to the operational parties. Old systems will change to new one, with better version. Processes will be simplified according to Cards and Bankings. Operational party need to test the new system and to re-learn again what they will do for next.

I am glad. I am given the chance on I stepped into PMO. Thanks to Kat n Sen.
I am looking forward into 3 months later.
Am I able to perform well? Am I an achiever?

I am sitting here.. chatting in Yahoo Messenger.
Feeling so great!
I felt so relief and happy because my internship was end last week! Finally!
Let me recall what I had done for the past 14 weeks.
I am so lucky that I am in Citibank for the internship program, I learnt a lot of new things from the country sized project. I was working in Project Management Office assisting Country Project Manager for the project, so called Project Rainbow.

Ok.. but this blog is not meant to post what is my job. Its difficult to describe here.. If you really want to know, you may meet me up and we will have a chat bout it. LOL.

Hi everyone.
Working life is not fun. Really really not fun! Especially when you have to get up at 6.30am and get prepare to work. Not like uni life. Get up at 2pm and waiting for dinner. After that I have to drive to Sg Besi LRT at 7.15am sharp to avoid jam at Sg Besi toll. Usually, I will use "Touch N Go" to pay for the toll and usually the queue for "Touch N Go" is always longer compare to the cash counter. Sighs.. Why are we buying their services ? They are not the fastest. Cis! Forget bout it. This matter dont really make me angry.
Once I get up to Star Line LRT, the hectic life begins. Not that fun when everyone pushing in. They don't seems to have the patience to wait for the train. They are rushing to go "reborn" I think. Nevermind. I will reach Masjid Jamek around 8.00am. It's still early but I need to wait there for 20 minutes to get in the train.

The most "@#*&@)(#&@)(*$^*@^#" thing happened in Putra Line LRT. Darn irritating and annoying, especially for those FAT ASS LADIES. WTF YOU ALL!
When everyone got out from the LRT, the people trying to fit in. Of course rite? But when the place doesnt really have place already. Dont ever try to go in anymore.

Normally I will stop there and pity those who are already like "sandwiches". Not enough space already. Let people some space to breath. Rite? Darn, then some of the FART ASS pushed me and use their FAT ASS to squeeze in the lrt. I am really pity to those who are really small size.
Huh .. Hope those FAT ASS is getting fatter n fatter. X_X

By the way, I am taking this opportunity also to wish Hui Lin the best luck. She is leaving Citibank to pursue her study in NTUC. Very best of luck to her :)

Wops.. It's another weekend already. Since I started to work in Citi, I dont really have time for other things. Let me share with you some experience of mine.

Usually I will wake up around 6.45am and preparing for work. Will go out to work at 7.15am. The hectic time will begin at 7.30am. I will drive to Sg Besi lrt (Star line) and change the lrt to Ampang Park. It takes 1 hour plus to reach Citibank.

There is something that I really hate about lrt(s). It sucks. Can say that NO people have the patience to wait for lrt especially wantan. Damn. The queue is so damn long and people keep on pushing eat other. Like inside a sardin can. OMG. Sometimes they dont even wanna let other people to go out from the lrt (big size wantan). Hate it!

For my job, I am trying my best to enjoy it. I am doing Project Management in Citi. Really a big project and many things to learn. I hope I can absorb and catch up all the necessary experience that I need to. Project Rainbow started June 2007. It is about system and the impact of implementation of new system in Citi.

First week of work was fun. But the part that I dont like was to study 120pages of FS daily. There are 7 FS that I need to get thru and understand. Another thing is conference. It's funny when I attended the conference ( for the yam yam and kap kap part) and its boring when I dont get to understand their discussion. LOL.

Everyone of BFE students are busy for their "research paper". Research paper is a wasting time project. We are using 2 months to complete a 1 year work. What do you expect from us MMU? Oh my goodness. If you are trying to torture us please do something like this:

MMU: Guys, look. We all wan you to enjoy the last semester of your study. Please choose a topic that you all really like and enjoy yourself. Dont pressure yourself. Score as high as possible in this semester.

TJ : Oh MMU, you are so kind to us. Thanks.

MMU: We had assigned you a supervisor. Please check on your mmls for the list and consult him for your research project.

TJ: Hmm.. Ok. No problem.

TJ went to check mmls and found out who is his supervisor. Lets give him a name called "Prof. KaoLat".

Once upon a time, there was a rich king who had four wives. He loved the fourth wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the third wife very much and was always showing her off to neighbouring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another.

Intervarsity Camp IV- 6th June 2007

The official start for 17th Intervarsity Camp held by Chinese Language Society, Multimedia University. But then, early in the morning, everyone included the committee heard the "beeping" sound from hailer. Personally, I hate to listen to that sound cause everyone gotta wake up to continue to their stuffs (for committee) and for participants they have to wake up to participate in our IVC activities. I guess its a very good and cold morning for everyone and nobody wish to wake up.
Remembering back, the one that holding hailer was Gary and Richard (do I need to remind you all about the annoying thingy?).
Beep ... Beep ... Beep ....

Ops, don't really have any sleeping pictures at morning because the Cman can't wake up either. Lets skip the annoying part and continue with our happy story :D..

Intervarsity Camp III - 5th June 2007

Hello, how are you my dear fellow readers. There's something I have to update you all regarding the pictures, we are still processing the files and due to some technical problems, we will post up a bit late. But no worries about the pictures, I will post up here some of the important one and funny for you all. Stay tune!

2nd Day in the Sau Seng Lum.
Well, the Cman was unable to snap some funny sleeping photos because he got up quite late. So just update you all regarding what we had done, straight away to our preparation for the camp.

Dont you notice the lollipop with small paper with it? It was for the last day of the camp. The purpose of the lollipop was to write short messages and give it to the one that you hope that s/he will contact you back in the future :). Kindda sweet idea right. Haha

Right after stapler the candy with paper, we had our small briefing and we gonna check for our venue (Sau Seng Lum). "Fu dao yuan" have to know the names for every places. Poor them, but for a "banana" like me, I just need some "walking dictionary" with me. Thanks :P

Canteen, this places was ruled by "Food and Medical Division"

Right after the venue inspection, we gonna had some games. Yee Ling was the conductor of the game and we all had fun with it. She introduced us the "Mafia" and "Devil and Angel" game. It was quite new to me.

I just know that I am a very "lau yah" doctor and angel. I was killed once I get the pose. Sighs. Who dislike me? Who appointed me outz! You better be honest! Nah, just kidding .. Lotsa fun with the game :)

After games, we got some resting time and some of them were planning to camwhore for a while and the Cman were cam-camwhoring too. Popular camwhore : Pipo and Jerry. The "ke le fe" beside them is Celine.

Besides that, nearby the camwhores, "Games and Activities Division" was drafting out the places for station games and they were so eager to get snap from Cman. LOL..

At least, the Cman had his first picture. They all know that Cman very kesian. They "pei min" me and wanna snap pictures with me. So touching hor? Kok Full was holding the lyrics for our camp song written by Zhou Yang.

Second day in the camp, committees were really prepared their best to make the camp success! At 5th June, we had fully prepared for the challenges for tomorrow and hoping the best!
We will be facing around 160 participants in 17th Intervarsity Camp and proudly to say that it is the largest camp that had been organized in history of IVC. Held by Multimedia University , Chinese Language Society.

Okay okay, lets continue with our IVC story, Hereby, I will upload some pictures of our committee from the 1st day until the last .. of course I will separate into few blogs. They were preparing the best for the participants around Malaysia and some from USA and Singapore.

What Phua Chu Kang said? " Some says good in Malaysia and some says good in USA and Singapore!! "

Wow, when we started to plan for IVC? I guess others Uni cant guess how long was it. We used 1 year to plan, to scheme and to manage all the activities. What? Crazy? One year to do a camp? We were not only doing a camp, we want to educate all the participants and we hope that we will give out the best memories for them.

Somewhere, somewhere ...

Before that, group leaders and backdrop commitee were participated in the speech, how to lead small groups and how to make the camp merrier!

Er, actually it was kindda boring, but for our dear campers, we do our best! ho ho ho!

Eric and his group were doing the booklets. It's in blue colour and the front page showing a kite. Well, guess what it means? Please refer back to our slogan of IVC ... :P

First task that we must do once we stepped into our camp venue, which was hanging up the banner. This task was quite challenging actually, cuz we need to correct every angle of it and it face the main door. Must give a good impression right? Hehe, thanks to Jin Li and Wen Pin but do you noticed something? It's kindda funny to say outz but I hope he wont angry.. (The number of chairs used by Wen Pin, right hand side).. Jin Li kindda suffer cuz he tint up his feet.. Uh!

Gary was looking at the big booklet and he din seems to be satisfy with his look in the book. Not that handsome as the real person .. Ops.. remember, he was OWNED! Haha.. look was not important anymore.. Hehe.. Peace!

Er, we were able to "snake" for a while with UNO game. Peace and relaxing.. Jian Liang (Red shirt guy) pose was like peeping something else ..

Tired and tired ... still a good pose , I think :P

Game testing, Swee Wei still keep on talking non stop laa .. Omg Omg .. stop his nagging .. he talked quite loud eh? Agree? Haha ...

Er, at that moment, Fu was still trying to get some attention by posing " Status of Ah Fu in Sau Seng Lum". Kindda scary if we closed the light.. Haha ..

At that night, we were doing some game rehearsal and due to some technical error, Candy, Jue Xin and Cman were so bore waiting for the group leaders to come. Cman was playing with game with the kopi tiam pose >_<" Did ya saw the blue trolly? We were bore of playing it already thats why we were lying on the floor - tired .. LOL!

Fishes

I’ve got a fish tank at home. Every morning when I switch on the fish tank’s light, all the fishes will automatically swim to the top, they will keep their mouths open widely. Making sure their mouths are wide enough to get the food and waiting to get feed.

I have 9 gold fishes, each of them has a name, Yet, I still remembered when I firstly bought fatty (a very small gold fish), he was very shy for the first few days. However, he started to get used to the environment and got along with other fishes. Unfortunately, the first few times when I fed the fish, Fatty always bang himself onto the leader (biggest fish in the fish tank). Of course, Fatty was scared with the leader due to the size. Not long, Fatty learnt how to solve the problem by letting the leader to have the food before him, then only he swam up to have his.

One morning, as usual, I put on the light about to feed the fish but unluckily I realized that the leader was floating on the water surface. Now, the leader has gone and you might thinking that Fatty must be happy because he will have a better life in future and needless to tolerate to the leader anymore. Well, the answer is no. Instead, he ended up with the same routine because he thinks that leader was still there. What he experienced has become a shadow of his life ..

People said fish has no long term memories, how on earth they remember to swim up and eat and maybe have similar life like Fatty? I would say Fatty is silly, but he is just protecting himself from any harms, just like humans. There are a lot of things in our life that we tried so hard to forget, but the harder we try, the harder to let it go ..

Tong Tong - Part II

After few days of posting of the pictures of my lil brother, some of my friends and cousin requested that I should post more picture. Some of them praise he's so cute and some laugh like monyet (don't think that I dunno that you laugh at my bro like nuts, EL). However, this is some sharing that I wanna let you all know bout it, bak kata pepatah "yao hou yeh, dai ka chai chai fang heong". Right right?

This picture, I think around 5 years old or younger. Er, no comment la. But what i know was Tong Tong like to lie down in "sarung" and left hanging. Oh ya, notice the "puting susu". That was the prevention for him to cry. LOL!

Oh darn, see the cutie crying face without the "puting susu" at his mouth. Another LOL again. Hehe, he like to hold a handkerchief with him and that handkerchief cannot leave his hand or else he would cry again.

Some said people had something that follow them for years and they must have it (eg, pillow, necklace, handkerchief )..
Did you saw the red colour chair? There was a little story about the chair. Once Tong Tong sit on the chair, he would cry. Refer back to the picture la! Once he went down, he would stop crying immediately. That's another way to kacau him .. kaka

Other than that, the red chair was the weapon to chase Lil Sandy off if she disturbed him..

At later age, Tong Tong grown up already but the age unknown. You know la, as a bro quite busy also .. so I don't really remember his age. This picture was at Singapore Zoo but that time I don't think that the monkey in zoo were more active than Tong Tong.

Behind Tong Tong was his sis.. Cute eh, small lil princess :D

Hey ya, i just remembered that i had registered an account in blogspot. Just now, I was thinking of the name of my blog and i typed "dominiquechang" but the name was used by others. So I keep on searching for other name and at last .. I key in the "dominiquechang" at lost password column and I got the password.. How silly am I and how forgetfull am I.

By the way, it's to have a new enviroment for posting blogs. Onesite.com wasnt that nice actually but its kindda simple cuz it provide some easy features. Another problem is, not many friends can guide me if I wanna edit something in the blog, such as templates, back grounds, sound, pics etc. I used few months to know how to post pictures inside the blog. Haha .. Silly thou!

Its 5.06 am, and I am off to bed in a while. Just finish chatting and doing some silly works. And tomorrow I still have many things to do and to rush.. Oh dear god, bless me and give me courage to end up all my assignments. Hope that u ticks the clock slower and my 24 hours should be more than enough. I love you :)
